Vanessa Mendoza

Vanessa Mendoza served as the Associated Students Vice President for External Affairs and was a Political Science major at Sonoma State University '26. A transfer student from Sacramento City College, originally from Elk Grove, California, and has always been passionate about civic engagement and public service. Since transferring to SSU, she'd taken on several leadership roles, including serving as a Youth Voice Youth Vote fellow with LEAD California, where she helped with the It Matters! Series on campus. She also serve as a Committee Chair for the SSU Young Democrats, where she helped coordinate political outreach efforts. She enjoys building community through political advocacy and student leadership.
