Mr. Monir Ahmed
Vice President of Administration & Finance, SSU
An energetic leader and 28-year advocate for students in California higher education, Mr. Ahmed was appointed as Sonoma State University’s Vice President for Administration and Finance/Chief Financial Officer in January, 2022. Previously he served as the Associate Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) where he led budget and planning, and fiscal services, including procurement and public works contracts, auxiliary and self-support activities finance, and various other campus administrative support services, as well as the fiscal services for university enterprises such as the student union, philanthropic foundation, research programs and other affiliated entities. During his time at CSUSB he served on many CSU systemwide initiatives benefiting the CSU systems.
Mr. Ahmed held similar roles at UCLA and UC Merced and served as a founding team member of the UC Merced campus that opened in 2005.
